Shoreline Blvd., Friday, April 4th and Saturday, April 5th, to honor the music and legacy of Selena Quintanilla Perez, the“Queen of Tejano Music,”and pride of Corpus Christi, her adopted hometown where her career was launched. The“Fiesta de la Flor”(Festival of Flowers) celebration will feature eleven Tejano acts live on stage including Latin Grammy winners Los Palominos, The Mavericks, Sunny Sauceda, and Jonmikael Mrez on Friday, and Becky G, Elida Reyna, the Hometown Boys, LA 45, and Superfonicos on Saturday. Festival activities also include the display of Madame Tussauds Hollywood Selena wax figure, makeup expert and YouTube sensation Desi Perkins, a silent disco, the El Parque kids zone, El Mercado vendor market, La Plaza food truck and vendor zone, a sym- posium titled One Person Unites Us, and Selena y Los Dinos’last concert, at the Astrodome, will be shown at sunset Saturday. Admission is $15 each day, or $25 for a two-day pass. Fiest de la Flor opens at 5:30 p.m. Friday, April 13th, and 10:00 a.m. on Saturday the 14th.
