This year, Kingsville will welcome thousands of visitors from across South Texas to the weekend festival. In what has become one of the most anticipated events of the year, the U.S. Navy Blue Angels aerobatic dem- onstration team will thrill audiences with their speed and precision, flying the F-A/18 Hornet fighter/bomber jet—still one of the world’s most advanced and deadly military aircraft. The Blue Angels are the featured act on Saturday and Sunday afternoons. Famed air show announcer Matt Jolly will narrate the airborne performances of Tora! Tora! Tora!, the Com- memorative Air Force’s reenactment of the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor, Redline Airshow’s Van’s RV-8s in tandem performance, Matt Younkin’s Beech 18 twin engine planes, Matt Holland in his powerful MXS-RH, North America’s top jet demonstration pilot, Matt W. Ball, in his MiG-17. Ball has performed more than 1,000 times and is the only FAA, unlimited day and night aerobatic jet pilot in North America. Dozens of vendor and food booths will be on hand, and some of the world’s most famous and interesting military aircraft will be on display, with some open for tours and cockpit experiences.
