Based in San Jose, Califor- nia, by way of Sinaloa, Mexico, Los Tigres has been nominated for Latin Grammy awards 13 times, winning five times. It is thus generally in need of a good cleaning and the 24th year, the Friends of Padre will host the Billy Sandifer Big Shell Beach Cleanup on Feb. 23. Volunteers meet at 8 a.m. at the park’s Malaquite Pavilion, and park fees will be waived.
