With its beautiful, new, multi- section gallery, the Art Center’s collection has expanded, giving more local art- ists space to display their talent. Compared to their prior facility, the Art Center today offers more classes and workshops, in more disciplines, than ever before. Some of the region’s most accomplished artists and educators share their talent and skill at the Art Center, which is also home to many of Port A’s favorite events, like the monthly First Friday reception and the Island Holiday Market. 101 N. Alister St. • (361) 749-7334 • PortAransasArtCenter.org Community Theater Reopened After a year of repairs following Hurricane Harvey in August 2017, the Port Aran- sas Community Theater reopened for their 2019 season, and will feature“Noises Off”Jan. 31-Feb. 3 and Feb. 7-10, and “Crimes of the Heart”Feb. 28-March 3 and March 7-10. Both productions are upbeat, comedy-musicals that tell tales of common southern folks caught up in the trials of life.
