70 Texas Coastal Bend tour guide Late Spring 2016 Corpus Christi Vino Mio Social Club Winery In our ongoing quest to discover the newest and most unique Coastal Bend hang outs Vino Mio in Midtown Corpus Christi may be our greatest recent find. This is the citys first dedicated wine bar with a significant difference over just about any such establishment Vino Mio makes its own wine and has developed a wide variety of reds whites and specialities includ- ing your merlot your cabernet chardonnay pinot griogios including a terrific cranberry-infused and even ports. But what will strike you about Vino Mio before you take your first sip is the cooler-than-cooler lounge scene created into its decor the lighting the rich leather sofas and background tracks of Swing Jazz and 60s Jungle. Live music most days of the week and always Friday and Saturday. 4102 S. Staples St. next to Wallbangers 361 728-6445 MolA Taste of Central Mexico In a city with over 80 taquerias much of the dining public may carry some confusion about what Mexican food really is and if you have traveled past the border in Mexico you may be expecting something much different than what you find in these establishments. Mol has brought the authentic cuisine of Mexico to the Coastal Bend probably the only establishment to do so in which the emphasis is on natural ingredients and creating every item from scratch. In the US mol generally refers to a poblano sauce in Mexico the term refers to a wide range of sauces originating in San Pe- dro Atocpan near Mexico City. By no coincidence this is the home of Mols owners and is where its entire menu was born. Enjoy a full bar and festive atmo- sphere in addition to the best Mexican food in Corpus Christi. 6042 S.
