Even in a perfect situation, pre-storm, a build on the scale of my project would en- counter set-backs. To date we are about four months behind schedule. There are many reasons that account for the delay that resulted from both me, the homeowner, and the contractors hired to complete the job. It doesn’t help when the homeowner is making small changes to plans all through the process, sometimes taking one step forward and two steps back. However, the importance of choosing the right contractor for the job has become quite clear. Rapid Air - PASSED (rough) City Inspection—The technicians from Rapid Air have maintained a very professional attitude and have completed their job until all drywall is complete. Mathew and Peter were sent on many occa- sions at the request of the homeowner to make small changes throughout the install. They were able to provide solutions to many problems I was having with other trades. For example, the main trunk providing air to the 3rd floor needed to be reshaped (custom) in order to allow enough room for the foam insulation. I’m very excited to see the finished product. We are currently ordering the equipment, including our new HVAC system, in anticipation of the completion of drywall.
